Is this a "Dark Night of the Soul?"

If you've found yourself searching for the term Dark Night of the Soul, chances are you're going through a difficult time right now.

You may feel lost, lonely, disconnected or uncertain about who you are and where your life is heading.

Some people describe it as feeling like they've lost themselves.

Others describe it as a deep sadness that won't go away. Some experience anxiety, restlessness, fear or a sense that something isn't right, even though they can't explain why.

You may find yourself lying awake at night wondering:

"What's wrong with me?"

"Why don't I feel happy anymore?"

"Why does my life suddenly feel meaningless?"

"Who am I?"

"What am I supposed to do next?"

For many people, a Dark Night of the Soul is one of the loneliest experiences they will ever go through.

It can feel as though nobody understands what you're experiencing. Friends and family may tell you to stay positive, be grateful or focus on what you have. Yet deep down, you know something has shifted within you.

Sometimes a Dark Night of the Soul follows a major life event such as grief, the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, burnout, illness, retirement or a significant life transition.

Other times, it seems to arrive completely out of the blue.

Life may look perfectly fine from the outside, yet inside you feel disconnected from yourself, your purpose and the things that once brought you joy.

While it can feel frightening, I don't believe a Dark Night of the Soul is necessarily a sign that something is wrong with you.

Often, it's a sign that something within you is changing.

The person you've been.

The life you've created.

The beliefs you've carried.

The expectations you've been living by.

They may no longer be aligned with who you are becoming.

As uncomfortable as that can be, it can also become the beginning of a deeper journey back to yourself.

How I Can Help

One of the things I love most about the work I do is helping people navigate these periods of uncertainty and transformation.

You don't need to have all the answers.

You don't need to know exactly what's happening.

You simply need a safe space to explore what's coming up for you.

Together, we can explore what's no longer working, what may be holding you back, and what is trying to emerge in your life.

Many people discover that what they thought was a crisis was actually an invitation to reconnect with themselves.

Their values.

Their purpose.

Their authentic self.

My role isn't to tell you who you should be.

My role is to help you reconnect with who you already are, so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence and trust in yourself.
