Initial Session – Why the Higher Fee?
The first session involves additional assessment, preparation and clinical documentation that happens outside of the appointment. This allows me to understand your situation clearly and ensure we begin with the right approach. Ongoing sessions don’t require this extra work, so they are offered at a lower rate.

No referral is required - you can simply book a time that works for you.

If you have Medibank or AHM Extras cover that includes mental health support, you may be able to claim a rebate for your counselling sessions with me.

Medibank & AHM pay benefits for sessions with a registered psychologist, Medibank-recognised counsellor, or mental health social worker.

Your rebate amount will depend on your specific level of Extras cover and your remaining annual limits.​​​​

Why I Don’t Offer Mental Health Treatment Plan Appointments
​
As a registered counsellor, I provide professional, holistic support for emotional wellbeing. Mental Health Treatment Plans are only available through psychologists, mental health social workers, and other Medicare-recognised providers.
While I don’t offer Medicare-funded sessions, many clients choose to work with me because:

• No long waiting lists
You can usually book an appointment within days, not months.

• No GP referral required
You can simply book online whenever you’re ready.
​
• Clear, predictable fees
There are no fluctuating gap fees or out-of-pocket surprises.
​
• Private and confidential
Using a Mental Health Treatment Plan creates a record within the Medicare system.
Private counselling with me does not appear on your Medicare history.

• Warm, steady support
My approach combines counselling, mindset techniques and practical tools to help you move forward.
